I know it is normal to try and leap into new things in a time of loss. Rebound relationships, adopting a kitten or puppy right after the death of a beloved pet, etc. And I know we're still very, very upset at fucking up and completely ruining the lovely and finally-finished B.S. Johnson hat while trying to shrink & block it. But please, at least finish sewing up the sweater that is blocked out on the guest bed before flinging yourself into a new project, no matter how lovely it is and how you have the perfect yarn for it sitting in your stash and everything.
I'm not going to tell you to finish your entire backlog, because we both know that's a hopeless battle. Just finish the one almost-done one, m'kay?
