New Ohio law would put abortion veto rights in the hands of men... even if they're not there.

It's not just that guys can petition to keep the child if they can prove it's theirs and they legally affirm that they will take full responsibility for it after its birth, which is one thing. No, this law would make it the default that women are not allowed to have an abortion unless they specifically get the man's written permission to do so. If he can't be found or is unwilling or unable to respond... tough shit, lady! No rights or choices for you!

Even better: "In cases where the identity of the father is unknown, women would be required to submit a list of possible fathers. The physician would be forced to conduct a paternity test from the provided list and then seek paternal permission to abort."

Sorely tempted to go get my tubes tied while it's still legal for me to decide to do so.
